What is the Ann Loeb Sikora Humanitarian Award?

The award, established in memory of Ann Sikora z”l, honors individuals who emulate the humanitarian ideals by which Ann lived her life.

Who was Ann Loeb Sikora?

Ann Loeb Sikora was the first woman to serve as president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas (1982-1983).  She was a founding member of the Dallas Jewish Coalition for the Homeless (now Vogel Alcove) and of MAZON, a Jewish Response to Hunger.  Dubbed a “professional volunteer,” she received numerous awards for her outstanding community service.

Who attends?

The vast majority of attendees are members of the greater Dallas community who believe in our mission. They include a wide range of Dallas’ business leaders, philanthropists, and nonprofit partners. Your organization will support our ongoing mission to preserve the history of Jews in Dallas, and you and your guests have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and businesses at this inspiring and entertaining event.

Where does the money go?

All donations from the event support the preservation of written, visual and audible materials that document the history of Jews in Dallas, the ongoing and historical contributions made to the Dallas community, along with programs and exhibits which help present and future generations connect with Jewish Dallas.
